I'm leaning towards bad fuel, hopefully it wasn't bad enough to damage your pump. Even though you shop at BP/Shell, accidents do happen. Could be water in their tanks or

Even though you shop at BP/Shell, accidents do happen. Could be water in their tanks or a possible cross-drop. When you filled up, were there any fuel trucks dropping fuel into the tanks at the station?
