There's a little rubber grommet under the brake light switch on the pedal, the pedal rests on it, before it depresses the switch jt. If that grommet is ripped, it will not fully engage, when accelerating and not using the brakes, and it can cause a limp mode for safety reasons related to brake lights , but without codes, or anything. to really see what the issue is. Climb under there and inspect. Takes 60 secs to verify, considering it's intermittent it's possible this is a cause
