Filled up the diff with Shell Full Synthetic Spirax 75-90W GL-5. Seemed to minimize the popping and grabbing in low speed maneuvers and the GL-5 fluid worked well.

My best guess

I put in friction modifier also, Redline. Still sucked. Night and day difference with OS Giken diff fluid.
