How is the noise after installing this? I saw someone selling this on the classifieds because it was too loud for DDing. Perhaps a thin rubber gasket between the plate and mounting area would help?

It's not too bad (especially with the NVH of the Z as-is). However, there can be a buzz at higher rpm's caused by the shifter rattling against itself. I reused the OEM rubber dust shield between the Coolerworx plate and the tunnel and it still does it. Some say the newer versions don't do it, but I don't think it's loud or annoying enough to get rid of the part.

Just got my Coolerworx shifter - any tips on install or guide available for reference? This was a message I received from BlackFlagBudget on reddit who installed the shifter on his 350z. Apparently there was this bracket that needs to be removed, is that the same on the 370z?

You'll need to lower the transmission, but won't have to take it all the way out. Put the car on jack stands, put your jack underneath the trans, and remove the transmission mount. You'll be able to lower the trans just enough to get the bolts on the bracket out. They are small bolts and easy to break loose. The OEM shifter needs to be out first of course.

The oem shifter assembly support has to be removed. Here it is:

I ended up using a stubby 12mm (I think) wrench to get at the top bolts that are on top of the trans housing.
