mine was about 40-50k but I don’t think the mileage was really important as it coincided with a low oil / no oil pressure event. I have a thread somewhere showing how you can easily confirm/deny if its the phasers by measuring the sensor outputs or opening the covers and taking pictures

The last possibility most folks dont tend to check due to it being a rare one is VTC phaser ring. This is exacerbated by how long you've had a failing gasket. Most owners tend to put about 5k + miles on a failing gasket until something is changed or the problem gets worse
He's a thread I made about it, I only had a NEW bank 1 phaser which I took the opportunity to measure and it seems like tooth 5 alings with one of the tooth of the phaser. To the OP you're almost done with your issue.
You'll only have to figure out which of the three signals are you missing. Power Signal Ground A multimeter should solve this issue, most likely a failed wire into the connector or broken signal/ ground wire since a power wire would affect the rest. Good luck. |
