As has been mentioned above, changing TBs is not a difficult job - any competent mechanic should be able to easily handle the job.

You might want to download a copy of the FSM (link in my sig), copy to a USB stick, and give to the mechanic.

First thing you need to do is get the DTC(s) so you can see what the car thinks is wrong. No sense replacing TB(s) if that's not the problem.

Good move. They must have some amazing coffee and donuts for them to be charging the prices they do. And you could probably just walk in and grab some without even having service done

Before you ask the G37 is the same exact set up as the 370z and procedure to clean the throttle bodies. Do it yourself for essentially nothing.....then see if the light comes on. I do not believe that you have throttle body failure...they are just going to rip them both out and put new ones to get your money.

Find another shop, have the exhaust leak addressed first. that could be you problem depending if its before the Oxy sensor. than go from there. With 83,000 miles could be a vacuum leak., or something as simple as that.

I will finally grab it from the dealership today and bring it to a place my landlord recommended locally for the exhaust leak. The dealership got to do my synthetic oil change and will get their diagnostic fee. $120 total
I agree that the throttle body might not even be the reason for the CEL and that both probably don’t need to be changed at the same time. One or the other.

I’ll make a new thread once I get the car back and see the OBD-II code. Thanks all
