Anyway, I think one part of your post may be incorrect. Axle ratio and Final Drive Ratio are two different things. I believe the axle ratio on the Nismo is 3.91 not 3.692, which is the Final Drive Ratio.

The older Nismo's came with a 3.692. The newer Nismo's come with the 3.91 axle ratio, or final drive ratio or ring and pinion ratio.

Rusty, do you know what year they switched from 3.692 to 3.91? I have looked up the ratios for my 14 Nismo and the final drive ratio is 3.692, but was under the impression that axle ratio and final drive ratio are two separate things. I remember a long time ago doing the math to figure out which rear to get for an old Camaro I had which required dividing the axle ratio by some number to come up with the final drive ratio. Like I said, that was a long time ago so I may be wrong.

When they switched to the new bumpers is when they changed the axle ratio's.

Most people use either axle ratio or final drive ratio the describe the ring and pinion. Talk to them one time and they will use axle ratio. Next it's final drive to describe the same thing. Some use the term final drive as the mix of ring and pinion and tire diameter too. Depends on switch side the fence you are on.
