Z won't start!

It leaves the locking pin retracted but does not guarantee that the electronics won't eventually fail. It kills power to the motor that moves the pin but leaves the electronics powered up. So far, I have seen no reports of the electronics failing.

Thank you for the latest info--I'm gonna give that a shot. Do I have to get the car at least started before I take out that fuse? Or is it ok to just try that step first?

I powered up my ignition & removed fuse (preventive medicine).
I haven't had any issues & can visualizing removing lock assembly and modifying it to work.
If you're charting the Z's; mine's an 11' Base/Touring Auto w/75,604mi.
Everything seems to be working,,,except you don't hear the steering lock slide noise.

Tried tapping the box and to no avail

Called Nissan to see if theres a recall on my car and no luck. He said he has seen this on the Altima's and they run about $900, so yippee. Gonna take a look at the fuse and see if that's the problem...
