Default ZSpeed Clutch Kit?

Does anyone have any experience with their clutch/flywheel kits? As it's a daily driver I'm looking at the 25lb single mass flywheel option, and comparing it with the JWT nodular iron clutch/flywheel kit. Also looking to do the HD CSC upgrade if anyone has any experience pairing it with either of the two.

Any input on either kit is welcome!

I don't have a Z, but do have a G. I have purchased a bunch of parts from Joe at ZSpeed, clutch kit being one of my firsts. I am using the South Bend clutch kit with a 19lb flywheel and no problems. HD CSC works great for me too. My kit had everything including fluids, lines and CSC.

Default Csc hd?

I bought my 09 Sport at auction so not sure what was done and was not...

Car already has swift springs, spacers and other mods.

Is there a way to tell externally if an aftermarket CSC HD has already been installed?

Look at the tranny on the driver's side, and see if there is any steel braided lines going into and out of the tranny. Pictures in the link as to what it should look like.

I have the Southbend Stage 3 with the 19lb flywheel HD CSC and quiet disk option. There is no noticeable increase in chatter and the shop that did the install said the only snag they hit was installing the CMC which was a little more of a bear than they expected. Other than that I'm on mile 350 of break in which is great because I should have everything in for my Boosted Performance install in within the next two weeks or so.

I also purchased my car from a dealer and did not know what was done to it. I ended up ordering a Z1 clutch combo kit with their mid-weight flywheel, and absolutely love it. Surprisingly when I took the tranny off, there was a 14lb lightweight flywheel already installed, but had pretty bad burn marks so I replaced it.

Did you swap it in yourself then? I looked at this kit as well. Hows the noise/drivablilty?

#1 reason I haven't picked Southbend is due to the price. A well-spec'd full kit for $1400?? No thanks. A JWT kit is $530, and even with all the fluids and HD CSC you'll still save a couple hundred with it (to spend on an RJM pedal)

I have a zspeed clutch (still at stock power level) and RJM pedal and the feel is so much better than stock. Slight noise at idle but really minimal. Definitely recommend it.

Yea I did everything myself. Took one weekends worth as I needed to get a pneumatic impact wrench to take off the flywheel bolts. I ended up getting the flywheel, clutch, master cylinder, HD CSC, stainless steel clutch line, and all the fluids for like $1,300.

As for the noise its a little quieter than the 14lb but not too noisy overall. I couldn't tell you how much more noise it produces over stock as I haven't driven one stock. If it helps, I dealt with the 14lb flywheel for 6 months when I thought it was stock and honestly thought it was just how it was suppose to sound. Never really bothered me until I turned my A/C on at stoplights

Also, If you do go with Z1 and plan on using the Zspeed HD CSC, the Z1 Clutch line is not compatible. You have to get the ZSpeed Clutch line to work with the Zspeed HD CSC

You can use the OEM line or our Insulated stainless line, Our line is identical to stock fitment wise but with a little added length so it sits further away from the hot exhaust.
You are correct about the Z1 line being incompatible though, I believe they sell the older 350Z DE line for the HR VHR replacement.

Yea i'm not sure which one they use, but one end of the line is stock, and the other is a banjo fitting like you'd find on a brake.
