Are you sure? In the racing world "adoption" usually means work for free and any money you make you give to the parent for having the privilege to work on the parent's car.
![]() A little cynical I know, but a couple of the racers I know (bigger budgets than I) that went "Pro" were brought under an established Pro's "wing" to "learn" ... I will not name names (nothing to do with Z's), but learning was not the motive of this established Pro, a new income stream was real reason for adoption ![]() Anyway, for now the goal is just a street/track car. Engine/Trans oil, intake air, and engine coolant/water is extremely important part of this project when I'm ready to move to race car spec. Cheers, Rob. |

I prefer Holinger to Quaife for race-box as the Quaife experience in NZ V8 touring cars has not been stellar (the 69G boxes are behind 7-litre Chev engines though).
Holinger are based in my home town and an issue during a race weekend means spares and support are only a mobile phone call away - a bit different for Quaife. The 60G in lesser powered cars has a very good reputation - as you have noted. |

Thanks for info on radiator ... my plan would be to have a custom fabricated unit that acts as both oil cooler and water cooler.
I assuming the turbo outlet (air pressure side) will go thru a couple of water/heat exchangers with variable speed water bumps (hence my desire for very large multi-purpose custom fab radiator setup)? But, I don't know enough about best places to get cool air on the 370 ... my initial look and there seems to be lots of room up front, but not much actual "collection/direction" of air ... so thinking a complete rework of the front bumper - possibly another custom fab unit from fiberglass unless something already exists? Cheers, Rob. |
