I will have a repeat of the same mods minus the e85 and injectors, I am staying on 93 octane. It will be installed and tuned by Dynosty in the coming months, don't have a firm date on the calendar yet.
I made 341whp/271wtq with the following list of power or power related mods: Z1 Intakes Z1 Plenum Power Mod Motordyne LTH Fast Intentions Exhaust Stillen Lightweight Pulley Z1 Lightweight Flywheel The next round will include the following list of upgrades: Z1 Race Intakes Upgrade (Installed) Z1 Ported Lower Intake (Installed) Dewla Dezign Cold Air Intake Guide (Installed) Z1 2-piece Lightweight Rotors (Installing this weekend) Jim Wolf C2 Cams (Pending installation and tune at Dynosty) I was also going to do EPS Big Bore Throttle Bodies but both Z1 and Dynosty have recommended staying away from them due to poor idle quality and reliability issues. After the tune is done, I will be going back and upgrading the LSD and final drive to 4.08s. At which point my N/A build should be complete... yea right. I will share with everyone the results of the C2 cams once completed. Last edited by johnnydrama; 01-04-2019 at 09:57 AM. |

How much of a pain was it to install the z1 intake upgrade with the dewla air guide? I was thinking of doing the same, but wasn’t sure there would be room, even with a modified crash bar.

I'm actually running the FI tow bar. I'm not entirely sure how they mounted them when it was reassembled at Z1, but Injust had them resting on the bar. The air guide was bolted in at the top. It screws into the bottom of the stock bar, but that's not an option w/ the FI bar. I used a stainless steel zip tie through the hole in the bottom of the guide and the tow hook hole, pulled it as tight as I could and hit it w/ some black spray paint. It was pretty solid that way, but I imagine Z1 screwed it down a little better.

They're a pretty easy mod to do also (the intake upgrades, I can't speak to the air guide).

The intake guide is straight forward as well and easy to do in conjunction with the race intake upgrades, especially since you already have the front fascia removed. I don’t think the intake guide would work with the FI tow bar since it is bolted to the underside of the stock crash bar. I’m sure if your savvy you could rig it up fine. This was one of the main reasons I went with Z1’s crash bar modification service. It’s also cheaper, safer and can still be used with the front bumper foam (this was important to me since I primarily use my Nismo as a street car), there also wasn’t substantial weight savings since the stock tow bar is aluminum and is already light. Z1 also turned it quickly and I shipped and had the modded crash bar back to me in 3-4days.
