It was pump e85 not vp, egnite or torco. Just so things don't get twisted, Will has kept me up to date on all of this. He and I share ideas with each other on our builds.

In other words, I like to see Z1 repeat the dyno testing on a different car (engine) with all of the same mods.

This would determine if the results were repeatable, or if your results were just the will of the Z gods.

If they could duplicate the results on a different car, that would indicate that the recipe of mods is very well matched and complemented, i.e. “the perfect set up”.

I will have a repeat of the same mods minus the e85 and injectors, I am staying on 93 octane. It will be installed and tuned by Dynosty in the coming months, don't have a firm date on the calendar yet.

I made 341whp/271wtq with the following list of power or power related mods:

Z1 Intakes
Z1 Plenum Power Mod
Motordyne LTH
Fast Intentions Exhaust
Stillen Lightweight Pulley
Z1 Lightweight Flywheel

The next round will include the following list of upgrades:

Z1 Race Intakes Upgrade (Installed)
Z1 Ported Lower Intake (Installed)
Dewla Dezign Cold Air Intake Guide (Installed)
Z1 2-piece Lightweight Rotors (Installing this weekend)
Jim Wolf C2 Cams (Pending installation and tune at Dynosty)

I was also going to do EPS Big Bore Throttle Bodies but both Z1 and Dynosty have recommended staying away from them due to poor idle quality and reliability issues.

After the tune is done, I will be going back and upgrading the LSD and final drive to 4.08s. At which point my N/A build should be complete... yea right.

I will share with everyone the results of the C2 cams once completed.

241 hp?

I have most of the same mods, E85, ported upper & lower, etc..

I have not installed the headers or cams yet...planning on both at same time.

Not optimistic that I can pick up THAT much power with the cam and headers.

But now I am having concerns with my EcuTek tune. Maybe I will goto UpRev...

The guys at Z1 have stated that the newer Zs, 2016+, have consistently been producing higher dyno numbers, both stock and with upgrades. Not sure if that carries any weight or not but will be interesting to see.

This is common theme when someone provides data on significant gains with any build. The reality is regardless of the car gains will be made with Z1 400 kit. It has been proven over and over already. The degree of the gains will be based on the additional mods you add to that list, the weather, the dyno and your motor. My experience with own build compared to others with similar or the same modes showed my motor made at least 20whp less than most regardless of fuel type. I was disappointed at first but that went away after I drove it and Seb told me the rest of the story and was my motor was a freak on the torque side of the game. Because I was on a stock motor and internals he could not maximize my top end or whp because my tq level could not be held down. Anyway, like John said the results were unexpected but definitely worth sharing. You got to pay your money and take your chances as nothing is a sure thing if you are chasing record type numbers.

Talking

When you are doing work on a motor. It's best to stick to one dyno for all the testing. Baseline and tuning. If you use different dyno's. The results will be fudged.

How about an exhaust video. I want to see if this car sounds as good as your old one. LOL Your old car was the best sounding 370z ever. That is why I opted for the Carbon Fiber mufflers on my 3" exhaust.

I have had one in the works for awhile now. Hard to say if mine now is better than in the video. The Motordyne Headers w/ Hemholz resonators produce more of a high pitched exotic noise where the setup in the video was a very deep sound. Also my FI exhaust is non-resonated now as opposed to 18" inch resonators in the video. Below is Dynosty's video on facebook of my setup but doesn't do the setup complete justice.

https://www.facebook.com/Dynosty/vid...5948568420534/

I will try and get a video put together though for my current. The weather is supposed to be nice tomorrow.
