Limp mode randomly on start is now about everytime

So you mention that you have stillen Gen 3 intakes. Did you get the dry filter type or the oiled filter type? If oiled filter type, I have heard that

Have a read through this thread... z does not accelerate Gets into it on page 3 but some useful info in first few pages. Driving on dusty roads all the time seems like it would clog up oiled filters as well. Just a thought.
