Should you do an early oil change?

I think it's a pretty normal finding. Many people including myself have noticed that the engine runs cooler after a few thousand miles are put on the car. My hypothesis

I think it's a pretty normal finding. Many people including myself have noticed that the engine runs cooler after a few thousand miles are put on the car. My hypothesis is that the higher temps when new are due to increased internal friction which smoothes out with time and use. I think the metal shavings go right along with the theory.
