Ouch! That sucks!

I just gave mine a swift blow with the dead blow hammer and voila, it popped right out.

Tell me about. I was NOT a happy camper for a few hours. Did the same thing you did. Carefully set it on my vise. Aligned it up. Took aim, and hit it with my dead blow. Shifter popped out, no problem. Cleaned everything up. That's when I noticed one of the fingers broken in the white plastic cup.

Just to check up... How are thing going with this? Has anyone had their 370z in at a dealership and they said something about the short shifter?

How is the short shifter performing for you guys?

I've had my TWM shifter since Feb. now with no problems. I had to take my Nismo back the the dealer once since I installed the shifter. That was for resetting my steering after I installed the headers. Nothing was said about the shifter or the headers.
