I agree with everything you are saying. Reducing rotor weight (i.e. rotational mass) will improve performance. And if money is not an issue they are an absolute no brainer.

And for what it is worth, they really are beautiful pieces!

I run Z1's 1 piece slotted rotors. They weight about the same as stock and have super-cool slots in them. No point in buying 2 piece rotors unless you are doing some serious tracking. Stay away from cross drilled rotors.

I've had my Z1s on the track a few times and they do great. They are also cheap.

Why are you replacing your rotors? Unless you're really driving your car spiritedly I think just replacing pads will be fine for you.

Gbrettin, sorry I lost track of this thread, I forgot to say Thank You for helping me so much, im usually good with it but I completely forgot due to alot of things going on. I think ill go with the Z1 one piece slotted rotors and see if I can get a set of OEM brake pads. I think it will be quicker just to bring everything to the shop and have them replace everything, its my DD and only car so I cant really wait to long. Thanks for all your help, its being put to good use!

Z1 370Z / G37 (Sport) Performance Rotors - Akebono

Im going to get these SLOTTED.
Do i only get the fronts or should i get all four.
Should I just get all four and all OEM brake pads.
Do these even fit on the back wheels?

For reference it's 180 for 2 front oem rotors.

Drilled, slotted, or drilled and slotted will have no worth while benefit for street driving. They a number of negatives to them, one being a tendency to wear pads faster and any heat issues would be better resolved from by other methods (better pads, fluids, brake ducts, etc).

And yes, the fronts are very different from the back rotors.

Although... it would be wild to see some front rotors installed on the back and turn up the stopping power.
