Aftermarket sway bars, stock endlinks?

I'm starting to think a lot of the problem may come from having the car lowered more than the thicker bar. I have 30,000 hard miles on my stock links

I'm starting to think a lot of the problem may come from having the car lowered more than the thicker bar. I have 30,000 hard miles on my stock links with hotchkiss's set full stiff at factory height and they are fine, i know the angles on the end links get hella jacked when you lower it and start going full compression. Also anybody spy the torsion style anti-sways on the voodoo13 setup?

ask rusty.
I had one of my whiteline rear end links break. They were nice enough to replace it with a supposedly newer design/model which honestly looks mostly the same, but they do have good customer service (despite me buying the end link months ago). I just went back to stock. We will see how it holds up next season when I go back to the track.

Just installed Eibach front and rear bars and SPL links, which definitely appear more robust than the stock links. Short initial test drive through some roundabouts feels great, more like a go-cart.
I think it's time for some new tires though, the VDC light was coming on more than it used to.
Gonna have to wait for better weather to put it through the paces.
On a side note I threw the Z speed shield on when I was done. Nice piece and obviously a huge improvement over the flimsy oem tupperware.

Been reading over this thread. I have the Stillen sways, and the difference is definitely felt everytime I turn the wheel or change lanes. I saw all these reports about the endlinks breaking, and now I am worried my stock set will give eventually as well. I am lowered on coils, and have my fronts set to soft and rears set to full stiff. Should I just buy the rear endlinks for now, or do you guys recommend replacing both front and rears?

Seems like most people are only experiencing rear end link failures...

I'm gonna be purchasing the SPL end links but was wondering if my suspension will be affected in any way by the change? I'm lowered on coilovers and cornered balanced already and would rather not have to align again.

They won't change it. The endlinks will help to prevent any preload on the sway bar.

Thanks Spooler. Should I installed them with weight or no weight on wheels?

Good question. I have a brand new set for the front and rear I should be installing in the next couple of weeks. Guess I will have to figure that out.

Best way is with the weight of the car on the ground. Install one side then install the other side. Install the bolt through the bar, it should go in without any trouble. If you have to force the bolt through. You will preload the bar.

Got it. I'm guessing it should be done with the wheels on a ramp right?

by the way, should I sit on driver's seat (or weight equivalent) to get the load on the sway bars taken out? I was cornered balanced with me inside the vehicle so I'm wondering if this will have any effect when I replace the end links?

Thanks Kenchan. Yeah I will install the first link going off the measurements of the OEM then I will adjust the difference on the second link accordingly to avoid putting any load in them. I'm just not sure if this should be done with me sitting on passenger seat
