I'll go through the list so you can know what I mean:

2011 C6 Z06
- Laaaarge swept area 4 pot caliper, peak heat per square inch not as high as the Z, not using super compressible organic/ceramic pad to reach "artificially high" peak coefficient of friction like the Z's stock pads.
1993 Crown Vic
- large shitty single pot caliper, peak heat much lower because the coefficient of friction isn't even in the same universe
2002 G20
- small shitty single pot caliper, see above
2001 WS.6
- large shitty two pot, see above
1995 Trans AM
- large shitty single pot (maybe two pot) caliper, see above
1988 Mustang GT
- large shitty single pot, see above
So what you are saying is that 2-3 minutes on a track (actually, the first set I fried instantly with a panic slow from 75 to 40 on the freeway when someone moved over into my lane, so maybe Turn 1?) is enough to fry Nissan's Sport brakes, but yet they are better than all of these other systems because...why?

Yes that is really enough on the stock pads.

They're not better than all of those, but most of them, yes.

Get REAL pads, the problem goes away. Or, don't abuse the stock pads and be happy.

Like the Stoptech pads I had? That lasted a couple hundred miles on Z1 slotted rotors. Or do you mean I need to install $300 race pads just to drive to work?

HPS, Carbotech anything, or yes, $300 "race" pads.

Or you can just not abuse the stock ones... There is no other reason you would go through a set of pads in normal driving, seriously. After that emergency deceleration, did you give the brakes several minutes to come back down in temp before you stopped the car? If you didn't, you probably stuck the pads to the rotors and then a few days later you started getting the bumpy pedal. This is why I hate hate hate ceramic/organic pads.

The ONLY ones that I haven't had go bumpy on me is HPS, I have those on my DD and dislike how they destroy rotors faster than I think they should, but have to live with it so I don't get the bumps.

Anyway, good luck!

Both the front and rear had the same 8mm on them after over 20,000 miles. After that emergency deceleration, did you give the brakes several minutes to come back down in temp before you stopped the car? Yes, but they were shaking already. As soon as that happened. I never stopped, and I noticed when slowing for an exit ramp later on the same freeway that they shook. If you didn't, you probably stuck the pads to the rotors and then a few days later you started getting the bumpy pedal. Answers in red. There is more going on here. I had ceramic pads on my G20 and I got them WAY! hotter than on my 370Z. I've never smelled or seen smoke on my 370'z pads. The G20? Got them popping and smoking when I first put them on. I broke the one's on my G20 in driving hard in the Arkansas mountains, never an issue in the 30K miles I owned it after that.
