$20 or $1, if it is listed it should go that way. I think that with what has been said before about installs and purchasing from some vendors should be concidered honest feedback. Choose wisely where your moeny goes to.

I think the larger issue would be over the online price versus the phone price. Usually calling directly would give you a *lower* price than what's quoted online (which is usually around msrp). Sounds like the guy who answered the phone wasn't really familiar with the online store and the store's pricing structure.

Do you really think a vendor is going to get into an on-line arguement with the OP that everyone can see? I know if it were me, I'd steer clear of the forums and use PM's.

Personally, my experience with them was pretty good. Besides a "valuation" issue on a wheel & tire package I got from them, my experience was great. Knowledgable staff, willing to solve problems quickly, great workmanship on my package, and very good packaging.

You better do some research buddy if you are going to have a lsd installed and your car tuned at Forged ....

I don't know why it should be lock just for speaking out against a sponsor or vender. I take both negative and positive feedback in consideration when I conduct business. Looks like forge has had both. No one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes. It's how the business resolves the issue with the customer is what marks a good buisness.

Simple resolution for this problem offer the part for $200 to that customer and then change the website. I this customer doesn't think $200 is a good deal then too bad. What does he expect a 50% discount?

I got mine from Forged Performance for $459 two weeks ago. Zero issue.

If you don't like the price, DON'T BUY THE PRODUCT. I'm not sure where people get this idea that an advertised price MUST be honored. It's a free market. They can charge what they like, and you can buy it from whomever you choose. Stupid thread.

The thread says to call to get this special blow out price.

Forged Performance: SPC Camber Arm Blow out sale!!!

I called to find that the person who posted the thread no longer worked there, but Travis who answered the phone tried to help out. Travis eventually quoted me $200 for the arms only, even though their price on their online web store was $200 for the arms and toe bolts. Even if this was an honest mistake by Travis, the same price as the online store is hardly a blow out, call-in price.

Eventually Travis said that the best he could do for me was $220 for the arms and bolts. I asked him why I would take that deal if I could simply purchase the same thing on his webstore for $20 less. I added that had I simply done that rather than calling in, he would be bound to give me that price and he couldn't simply call me and demand extra money.

Travis tried several excuses on me at this point, including that many of the things on the website are not updated. I'm not exactly sure where he was going with that, or if he understands that it is the shop owner's responsibility to update the site and that any transactions are binding at whatever price is listed.

I told Travis that I would rather not do business with a shop that undertakes shady business practices. At this point Travis condescendingly thanked me and said he was taking down the page on their website that had everything for $200.

Cliff's Notes: do not do business with Forged Performance
Well since this thread was brought to my attention I suppose I can reply with a response of why and how this happened. I want to start by apologizing to the OP for his poor experience and any misinformation that has occurred. As you found out Tray is no longer employed here and Travis will be taking his place. As with any new employee it sometimes takes a little time to get accustomed to how things function. When you called in Travis quoted you for SPC 72260 which is the camber arms + the toe bolts. Due to some confusion he thought this did not include the toe bolts and added SPC 72265 which is just the toe bolts. This obviously raised the price as SPC 72260 +72265 would include the camber arms and 2 sets of the toe bolts. So to clarify, he would have been selling the camber arms + toe bolts to you for $200 which is what we had listed on our website or $220 for the camber arms + 2 sets of the toe bolts. I understand that this is not a "blowout" price as it is the same as what is listed on our site, but the original thread was made last year and unfortunately was not closed when Tray left the company. Now, obviously there were a couple of mistakes on our behalf that should not have happened, but I hardly see this as "shady" business practice or a reason to not do business with us. If you would still like the arms and toe bolts please give me a call and I will handle your order personally and give you an extra discount. It's regretful that we started off on the wrong foot, but perhaps we can still do business in the future. I hope to avoid threads like this in the future if at all possible. Best of luck to you and your 370z.
