I tried the DIY solution following the diagram provided by Brian:
https://docs.google.com/document/pub...dJDtKoKnP54Qfs

I'm using a SPDT slider switch, when the switch is on one-end position, everything works like normal(watching movie with e-brake on, GPS acts normal), however, when the switch is on the other position, the GPS gets no signal as expected, but it wont play video on screen, the reason is the system doesnt get e-brake signal.

I followed the wiring diagram as shown here(with DVD and Nav override):
https://docs.google.com/document/pub...dJDtKoKnP54Qfs

My question is: where should the PIN65 grounding wire connect to?

Thanks in advance for any help!
With the switch in one position for normal operation the e-brake wire (pin 65) should be in tact (sounds like that is working). In the other position the wire coming from the car harness should go nowhere and the end going to the AV unit should be grounded.

You mention SPDT, is that for just the parking brake switch? You need either:
1 x DPDT
or
1 X SPST (for speed) and 1 x SPDP (for Parking Brake)

The reason for this is with the speed sensor you are just making or breaking the connection where as with the Parking Brake you are making or redirecting the connection. In my diagram I show using a DPDT switch.

Hope that helps.
