Grabbed the 007, not least of all because they gave me a smoking price. And have two weeks to play with it and if I can't get dash command to work can bring it back.
The rest of my components should arrive over the next week so should be plenty of time. Fingers crossed... Palmer Performance does offer OBDII adapters that function over wifi and usb so maybe that's the ticket - albeit a more expensive option than a standard elm327. Though I seem to recall the 007 only has one rear usb input. Maybe the head unit will grab my phones wifi and can use it that way. Somehow I'd expect a bit more information on this or CarPlay on DashCommand website if any of this were actually doable though. Fingers still crossed...
