Help: Tire recommendations for new 19x10.5" square for DD use and tire rotation

Well thanks to fuct i now have to decide between

Michelin pilot super sports: longer tread life, most expensive, great performance

Michelin pilot sport a/s 3: longest tread life, "supposedly" just as good as most summer tire performance, peace of mind in cold, $200 less than pss's but $200 more than s04s

Bridgestone s04: cheapest tire, great performance, probably lowest tread life

Oh the agony of choosing! At least my company gets a tire discount now!

Don't waste your time with A/S tires on the Z. They're just not good enough in any season.

The PSS' will be your best bet if you don't mind the cost. If not the S04's will be just fine. And treadlife is subjective based on the driver/foot. So take that into consideration as well.

Also, look and see if the tires you want come in the sizes you want.

Yeah i was a bit iffy on the AS tires. Im thinking im going to go 285/35/19 for tire sizing since i dont really plan to track anytime soon. Im not sure if i should be considering the Re11 as well since its still much cheaper than the PSS.

From what im reading the s04s have a slightly better response and a stiffer sidewall than the pss's, and the re11s probably have a slight up from the s04s as well from a street standpoint.

I understand driving patterns affect treadwear heavily, but i think its safe to say the PSS will last longer than the s04 or re11. I imagine about 20k for pss and 15k for either bridgestone. Im reading that both the re11 and the pss retain good grip throughout their tread life, i just havent heard anything about the s04s yet. I do like the flat sidewall look of the re11s. The s04 kinda looks a little bubblier than the pss and re11 but i could be wrong.

Did you end up with 285? I'm currently running s04 265/35/19 on 19x10.5 and lowered on swift. Since it's a little stretched for my liking, I'm thinking to go for either 275 or 285. How was 285? no issue with rubbing or inner clearance?
BTW, are you Korean?

I am actually filipino, but i actually get korean a lot haha. What made you guess korean?

Im going to pick up a set of 285/35/19 once it warms up in the next couple weeks. What is your wheel offset and sizing/setup right now? Are you running 19x10.5 in the front right now?

Oh, didn't know filipinos use that name too. Joon is one of the most common Korean first name so I thought you were Korean. I'm korean and I'm Jun actually.
I'm running 265/35/19 on 19x10.5+30 in the front and 295/30/19 on 19x10.5+20 in the rear now. I might go for 275 since 275 doesn't look that bad. It seems like s04 has smaller tread width than other brands. I think it gives more stretched look but more clearance, but I could be wrong.

Haha yeah my name is actually jon but ive been called joon a lot. I do agree the s04s run a tad skinnier in tread width compared to the meatier cousins like the re11 and pss. I dont think a 275/35 would have any rubbing, as ive been told by a good amount of people running them they are just fine, and im gonna guess the 285 will be pretty similar as well since a bunch of track guys run 285/35/18 square. Since you have 10.5 square why dont you just run square? Im sure some camber arms would be able to dial in any rubbing you have.

Do you have any pics of your setup? What wheels are you running?
