Some of it may have been attributable to the mold release compound but they felt that way for a while. Eventually (after about 1500 miles), either I got used to them or they scrubbed in enough to feel comfortable.

Let me know what your impressions are. Also, they look damn good IMHO.

This tire has a wide array of differing opinions so I will let you know what I think.
