Default Tire wear

I'm not sure what section to put this in, but do these cars suffer from rear tires wearing out early? I have a 2010 Z sport package 6MT and with only 15K my rears are pretty much shot. I rarely drive aggressively, let alone do burnouts. I do like to do the occasional blasts on on/off ramps but can't believe it would cause wear this early.

This is not unusual at all. Rear wheel drive plus staggered setup = back tires go first.

I only got around 14 or so thousand out of my stock rears.

Yep, the rears will wear out faster since they are powering the car and can't be rotated with the fronts. I got 17k out of my first set of tires.

Oddly I use my fronts first followed by rears. My first stock set gave me 7250 and wore a little more rear than front. This set of Michelins look like the rears will give me 1000 miles more than fronts. I have fewer than 6,000 miles currently.

I am on my second set of Pilot Super Sport rears -- I got around 13,500 miles of of the first set.

No. Most performance tires have an "inside" and "outside" and cannot be swapped side to side without changing the rotation direction of the tire (changing rotation direction is bad).

I'm at 7,900 right now. I think my tires will make it 13k miles max... I'm thinking of putting some all-season dd's on my stock sport wheels and buying wider sport rims with high performance tires on em???? Its just a really costly thing to do for all the shyt i'm trying to get done... we'll see?

Exactly this. You never rotate side by side with tires like these.

Thanks for the feedback had no clue come from fwd cars. Now I did some research and it looks like you just run the tires till low tread and time to change. Did a price check on the Bridgestone Potenza re050a that are factory on our cars and there expensive (Tire rack). I also read that on staggered setup we cannot rotated unless there asymmetrical tires per Tire rack. They also stated that this tire would be able to rotate side to side and is cheaper/all season. Continental*ExtremeContact DWS
Does anybody know of any other asymmetrical tires that you guys recommend that can be rotated side to side. Just trying get the most amount of miles out of the price. Thanks

Maybe you can call Tire Rack and tell them what you are trying to accomplish. They have no problem telling you everything you need to know and they love talking tires.

I have no idea what tires fit your requirements -- I generally choose performance over longevity in my tires.

Just really trying to get feed back. Do you think its even worth rotating or not? I did they recommened several tires just trying to get an idea of what people do.

On a 370Z -- I would not to rotate at all -- go with a performacne tire you can afford and enjoy.
