that too. Nissan paired up with bridgestone initially. they put half rated cheaper tires on the cars stock. shortly after purchase the owner has to come back to Nissan for tires and bridgestone gets another sell by Nissan putting the same ones back on.

most normal car buyers do 0 service themselves and typically go to the dealer of purchase for all the car's needs.

money making op for Nissan and whatever tire provider they pair with.

Yes,you are buying Nissan Fairlady, not Ferrari 458,tires given as OEM,are just average tyres.

They seem to be as good as the Pilot Sport 2 in the rain, which I thought was pretty good. I would highly recommend never to use summer tires in snow or even cold. At 40F they become quite rigid and dangerous. I would consider the Z undrivable in the snow with PSS's. Now stick a set of Blizzaks on it...

Not a fair comparison, Michelin probably makes the best all around tire for the street, no doubt. But the RE-11s are on a different level, RE-11s having much higher performance that is. I am writing based on experience, that is running both tires, not from a guy who knows a guy who spent 8 hours a day on the forum and never owned a car nor the tires

Both tires are expensive, unless you want stupid performance, you don't need either tire, you can get good tires for much less

Michelin Pilot Super Sports are the only tires I've ever had that make a torrential downpour (a common occurrence in Houston during the non summer months.....all 3 of them) feel like I'm driving on dry ground, These tires are the phucking truth.

I'm thankful that the previous owner popped on a fresh set just before I bought the car, These are easily the best tires I've ever ridden on and nothing else will go on this Z.

I am on my second set of Pilot Super Sports. Got almost 27K miles out of the first set. They do have unbelievable grip, the car corners like it is on the proverbial rails. My passengers get all wide-eyed and then comment that they didn't even hear any tire squeal while they were hanging on for dear life
