Default 20mm spacers with stock 19s? anyone tried?

title says it all...My Z will be lowered on Eibachs and for now I am leaning towards staying with the stock 19s. Many pics and examples of 15mm and even 10mm spacers are avail but even the 15mm looks like it can come out some for a wider more aggressive stance. Rubbing doesnt appear to be a problem but some say it may. Thoughts and suggestions appreciated. Pics would be helpful

They will work fine, I have the 15mm and I tried an extra 5mm washer on top of them the other day, didn't drive on it b/c it was just to check, they seam fine.
I will probably order some 20mm soon

Where are you ordering your spacers from? Mini, did you go 15mm on both the front and back? I know there were problems at first (Semtex), did you order different spacers then him?

I will be going with the Ichiba spacers from Lou@Amplified ---they come with new, longer lug bolts not the built-in bolts. After doing some research it appears 20mm spacers will work just fine.

Actually, after running some numbers through the offset calculator some aftermarket 370 wheel fitments push the wheels out more than 40mm without problems! 20mm should be snap

I have an offset driveway, and the other day I parked the car on the slope, one side of the car dropped down so that the tire was tucked into the rear wheel well. This gave me a really good idea as to how far out I could come with the stock 275 tires.
I only had about 10-12mm clearance (I have 15mm spacers) before the tire would start to rub on a really hard impact or incline. So I think max you could go is 25mm out and be safe.
I'm still considering running a 305 Nitto Invo on my stock 10' rim, or at least a 285.
So I'm going to stick with a 20mm spacer for now.

Are you guys saying that the stock lug bolts must be replaced to fit the ichiba spacers on?

Yeah. When you order the spacers it comes with new studs. The thicker the spacer, the longer the studs. HTH

Just an FYI: Ichiba has a version II out that doesn't seem to require the replacement of the stock lug bolts.

I belive the user ModShack has these, and from his install pics, doesn't look like he swapped any bolts out.

These will work on the back, but not the front due to the wheel casting. Also keep in mind, you will need a dedicated breaker bar and socket to remove these to fit the spare. The quick and easy solution has some downsides. I'm going the longer stud route on the front when I do them..

Yes. Original studs are pulled and replaced with the longer Ichiba studs.

I will not be using these v2 of the spacers. Not only are there issues with the wheel castings fitting these spacers on the front, I would rather avoid the complexity of 2 separate sets of studs holding the wheel on...

Good point about the spare. Is it difficult to change out the lug bolts? I managed to get through the hfc install.

^ from what Ive read the studs hammer out pretty easy. The hardest part is the disassembly of the rear parking brake assembly

Sorry I took so long to get a pic up, this is probably the best pic showing how the 20mm spacer looks in the rear. I also have the SPC camber arms installed. The tires are stock 275/35/19.
