So I've been pondering the idea of switching to 18"s. Mainly rpf1s 18x9.5/10.5 +15 or possibly other 18"s with comparable weight and price. I'm Currently on oem sport rays square

Mainly rpf1s 18x9.5/10.5 +15 or possibly other 18"s with comparable weight and price. I'm Currently on oem sport rays square rear setup 19x10 +30 (275/35/19). My question is are there any significant performance benefits of doing this ? If switching to a 18" wheel I would want to run a taller tire. 40 series at least. 18 pound fronts/19 pound rears (rpf1s) vs 23.8 pound wheels I'm currently running (oem sport rays) . Is reducing unsprung weight as important for say highway pulls and spirited canyon driving ?
