18's on a 370z

After being on the forums for a little while im a little disappointed to see that very very very few people are running aftermarket 18's. I am a big fan of 18's due to the cheaper tire cost and many more options for <3k. I test fit my Work CR Kai's on my 370z that I had on my 350z and was really pleased. I need a little taller tires to fill the wheel well but I needed tires on them anyway.

Not the best pictures (iphone) but just to give an idea. Are there anyone else currently running aftermarket 18's?

Also they are much lighter than 19s if you care about that.

I'm debating whether to go with 18's or 19's whenever I upgrade my wheels. 18's are more functional (assuming the widths are the same), but most 19's look better. I'm leaning towards the Forgestar F14s in 18's.

If you are considering handling dynamics, a taller sidewall will likely mean less precision as there will be more sidewall flex.

Good work dragonbreath. I'm not a fan at all of these oversize heavy as **** "bling" wheels people put on their cars. All show and no go. I was starting to think I was the only one.

I plan on going with some lightweight aftermarket 18's whenever I have enough cash set aside.

doesnt look that bad but I am happy with my 19s... I just feel 18s look to small even though you do save weight and they are ideal for a track rim.. my 19 TE37s are still very light though.

Anyone happen to know the weight of the stock Nismo rims? I know they call them "super lightweight" rims or something like that but just curious...

18s

Man, i too was debating for the longest time. Thought about the Forgestars F14s TSWs, Enkies, Stance and many others. Since i was going to spring for new tires also, i had to go with 19s. More options and better offsets. I also plan on keeping the 19s wheels for my next Z when they re-do a new model.

18x10.5 +15 f +5(10mm spacer) rear with 275/35/18 295/35/18

Corbin that looks awesome! And man I thought I was the only one lol. Dont get me wrong, I love the 19's, however they are just so expensive.

Also there are WAY more options as far as 18s go. Almost every wheel you can get in 19 is available in the 18 inch as well. Then there are a few WedsSports that are only available in 18's. Enkeis, the Work Emotion line, etc. I do love the TE37's, CE28's, Work Meisters, Advan RS-D, etc but they are mostly around $3500 and up. Yeah I could save that money up over a few months but its hard lol. Plus that is around $1500 I could put else where, and still have a nice quality wheel.

I hear you on the side wall flex with a higher profile. I didnt even think about that. Right now there are 245/40 on my Works. That will probably suffice. It would look a little better if my Z were lowered just a tad more. Right now im on Swifts. I plan on getting coilovers in the future I just wanted something to close the wheel gap for now. Thanks for your input guys!

Anyone else with 18's feel free to post pics. Im interested in seeing all the combinations that you guys have come up with.

I like those wheels and I just checked Tire rack.com and the options it's giving me for the front are 18x9 and rear with 18x10.5, would that be right?

I would try to buy the wheels from a vendor who will let you pick your offsets. I just checked tirerack and the fronts are +45. Thats really high. The wheels will be sunk. I would shoot for a +20ish for the front. The rear sounds about as good as you will get with those wheels.
