Default Help with spacers...

I am researching the following spacers from Stillen for the rear of my 370z and have a question as to which one is better and easier to install...

H&R TRAK+ Wheel Spacers 20mm DRM that fit Over Factory Studs (HR4065663)... I guess they bolt on and the new studs are attached to it...

or...

H&R TRAK+ 20mm DRS that includes Spacer and Replacement Studs (HR4065662)... replaces existing studs...

which would you all recommend? attached is a pic of the car for reference.

I prefer the stud replacement spacers. They are easy to install if you have the right tools. Do a forum search for Modshack's DIY thread.

I had the 15mm on the front & 20mm on the back w/replacement studs they are not that hard to in stall I would use these first but also the bolt on one are good too.
The only problem with the bolt on ones is sometimes the smaller ones(like 10mm possibly 15mm) inter fear with the front wheel.

Probably not but just some food for thought I also wanted 15mm on the rear but when I saw some 15mm on the rear of a 370 I decided to put the 20mm on the rear and I was glad I did it brought the wheel out to where it should be.

I don't think 15mm is large enough to work as a bolt on. I believe 20mm is the minimum (but it might be 25, so I'd do some searching).

With the stud replacements it's best to have them pressed in.

I personally would only use the spacers with replacement studs. Just best to have the studs pressed in.

I've replaced many studs before no problems. But this time around I went to do what I always do and I'm not sure if the studs thereselves where tighter tolerences where the splines actually pull threw the hub or what not but the threads got jacked on all of them. Even the treads that looked good still had small amount of resistence to them They came with the Ichiba kit. Replaced with APR studs and had Forged press them in. Perfect now. After talking to Forged there's no reason to put stress on the threads by pulling them in the impact way. I agreed.

Chris, on these particular cars pulling the studs in with a stack of washers and a regular lug nut turned around backwards they go right in.

I'm with you on the 20mm on the front being the minimum.

That's what I did. But the splines on the stud gave alot of resistence pulling in. I knew something wasn't like the other times but I went with it anyways and the threads where tore on the studs and the lug. Just at least use caution. I've done them with a rachet with success. Just not this time around. Just word to the wise.

When you took the stud out and put the new one in did you line up the knurls on the stud with the ones on the inside of the flange?

Yes. But they seemed so much bigger than the stock ones plus there was alot more of them also. Maybe bad batch.
