My question to the op is did you make full payment for the wheels? The vendor has a real incentive to get the wheels out to you if you pay 50% now and 50% when the wheels leave the stores warehouse. I bought some Japanese wheels recently. I don't doubt Rick will get the wheels to you, but is it another month or another year.

FWIW, Jamaica, unless you are associated with VIP, I would keep out of this because as it is, your name is being dragged through the mud on Rick's behalf too. You're standing up and speaking for someone who is, in the simplest meaning of the word, scamming people out of their money.
There's no excuse, you guys need to get together and sue him already. Fu**sticks like that don't react until there's a real monetary consequence. With all the wheels available from reputable companies, why order from VIP with the history they have? I for one will not be ordering anything from them ever. In sight of current events, I would advice anyone else to do the same. |

Ive made a 50-50% payment to Rick, until recently Rick said the wheels are with him and is ready to shipped them out.. so i paid the other half which now makes a full payment.... But for nearly 2 weeks now there's no word from Rick.... He told me the shipping company has picked it up on the 12th of May.... but no tracking number so Far!!!
This is getting ridiculous!!! & i feel that ive been robbed!! Usually Wheels are made to order within 3 months even if its coming from Japan!! I've bought quite a no of custom wheels from Japan & even from the US & never did i experience this kind of dilemma.. Cant the admin do something about this? I mean this problem will never end & it'll bring up this kind of threads over & over again.. Its nearly 1 year of waiting now!! With this range of period even my cats have grandchildren.... Send the wheels already Rick!!! Common!!! Ur better than this!!! Its a shame that a once reputable vendor make this kind of silly mistakes that people will keep in mind forever!!

I have been waiting since Nov 14 2010 for wheels and the deadline was suppose to be 2 months,well 3 promised dates pasted,now he says he has my wheels BUT they are at the machine shop getting the TPMS hole drilled in the wheel(I thought they came drilled from Venaci)that was on Thursday last week and I haven't been able to get in touch with him since to nail down a date when they will be shipped.
He told me he would give me a refund but I want to see what date he nails down for me to get them,then I will make my decision.

That's really bad to hear for the OP and I hope the issue resolves quick
I was planning to change my wheels few months back and pm'd VIP and other vendors but after talking to few members on the forum went with ravespec they also bring Work wheels and already have the wheels and totally happy with them. |

oh hay!!! looks like i'm not the only one in the same boat...
Sorry to "Fern to the Z" for not seeing the other thread. It almost appeared that it was swept under the rug =( This is why threads like these should remain open for people to check up on member's reviews on certain vendors. Who knows, for those who read this, we might have just saved you some money and time... If the vendor wasn't messing up in the beginning or kept the customers "in the know", these threads would not exist. sadly, that wasn't the case. I hope everyone gets what they paid for.
