Thumbs up The "Will it fit?" thread

I propose a single, unifying thread on this topic, instead of the many different threads that seem to pop up continually. When I used to participate on the RX-8 Club site, someone started such a thread and it became very popular. It developed into a wealth of information in one, central location.

Just a thought.

OK Ill start...24" Chrome spinners, +52 offset, off an escalade, will i need spacers?

LOL just kidding, but serious this thread is a good idea but 'will it fit' and 'will it fit properly' is what matters. Too many peple just slap wheels on because 'they fit' but have the offsets all wrong, pizza cutter tires, sunken in wheels, etc etc

I actually have the rs-d's :
19X9.0 +25 F
19X10.0 +15 R

I'm running Hankook Ventus V12's: 245/40 F and 275/35 R (stock tire sizes for the sport package). They fit great, no rubbing.

You could probably go wider, maybe a 295/30 in the rear.

09 370Z Touring Sport. With the sport brakes of course.

Picking this set up this weekend.

20" Axis Shines
The offsets are et. 15 in the front and et. 20 in the rear.
255/35/20 (f) and 295/35/20 (r)

Will I need spacers anywhere to clear the sport brakes?

Thanks.

you both are in the clear... BTW any 350z standardized offsets will work on the 370z. They wont be aggressive or super flush but they will work.

Good luck gentlemen!

thank you for the feed back guys, I was fairly sure they would work just wanted some reassurance before dropping all that cash.

I dont know if this is possible but maybe some type of reference sheet would work better for this type of thread. you could list out all the wheel sizes + offsets that will work with the car and also add a field for each on wether a spacer would be needed and its size. might be too large of a undertaking though with all the different wheels out there and then you run into the issue of will a specific wheel clear the bigger brakes or not. Just an idea.

Ok here's one for you.

I have a 2009 NISMO with 10.5" rear rims. From what I've read here a 305-30-19 would be the largest tire for this wheel.

However a friend (self proclaimed expert) says "ah you can put a 325-30-19 on that wheel, I've seen it done all the time and those manufacturers min/max rim sizes are just guide lines."

Please help me with this guy. If it does fit which it doubt it's going to be totally unsafe or look like crap. I'm not sure I would even want to go with the 305, the 285 seems about right to me.

Thanks for any help.

Excellent idea! But I don't think it should be "instead of" or replace this thread. The stat sheet would be very helpful, but there will always be times when we want to ask each other questions, offer the benefit of our experience, etc.

BTW, I should point out to all concerned that I am no expert like Bullitt, RCZ and others. I just thought the thread would be a good idea. I am pleased to see such a healthy response already!

Here is an interesting article. I don't entirely agree with everything said, and the writing is a little amateurish, but it's more information to throw into the hopper.
