The OEM 18's fit, so do the SSR Type F's (Mike Bonanni had them on his car before he sold them to me). Probably lots of others too, wish I could help more.

If you're looking for 18's I'll be selling my Racing Harts if you're interested, not sure about the clearance on the sport BBK but should be able to figure that out.

A couple things about stock 18's - they need spacers to look flush. I'm using stock 18's as my winter wheels (powdercoated flat black) and have 25mm front and 20mm rear spacers. Some good news is that v2 spacers work in these lengths and with these wheels so no stud replacement is necessary. The other thing about the stock 18's is they're an inch narrower front and rear (compared to the OEM 19's), so tire sizes also shrink. This is great for winter setups but not ideal for other seasons or climates. I know Mike has had some wheels widened and it sounds like it's worked out well for him - maybe he can point you in the right direction if you want to go that route. GL.

Those enkeis look pretty good. Does anyone know if the enkei NT03s will clear bbk? 18x9.5 front. I know the rears will clear....

I'm assuming those are 18" wheels and that their BBK is either the same size or bigger than the Akebonos. PM "Bluemeanie" or "Robispec" for more information.

Enkei makes this very fine wheel in 18" and appropriate offset, I believe, for our car. You can buy it in various sizes for good prices at Goodwin Racing.com (click on RX-8 Wheels & Tires--it's a Mazda race-shop site). Brian Goodwin is an honorable man, a nice guy, and very helpful. The wheel comes in silver, black, and a chrome-look "SBC" finish. Good luck.

That front is 18x10.5 and is a square setup. I would like to go staggered and get 9.5 for the front but nobody seems to know if they clear bbk. I even called enkei USA and they don't even know!!

So the spacers are only for appearances?

What's the maximum width tire you can run on the 18s? 235?

So you wouldn't be able to run a square setup with the stock 18s.

Would two rear wheels fit on the fronts with Sport package brakes?
