Interesting question, I've been wanting to ask the same ever since I joined this forum, very glad that someone finally asks!

I found this awhile ago when i had the same question and just searched the forum; hope it helps

Why you should use these tires with NISMO Wheels: 285/35R19 (F), 325/30R19 (R)

It's been asked; just a lot of the threads have since been buried and you have to do a little digging to find. I found the above setup in a thread about why you should run 285/325 on NISMO wheels lol

IMNSHO, this site's search is pretty bad. I use one of the web search engines (works with all the major search engines I've tried) and add "site:the370z.com" to my search string. Eg, widest tire site:the370z.com

Unless you dropped in a V8 or are running a turbo, you may have issues getting your NA Z moving, lol. Wider tires are also much heavier than the OEM sizes. Is it just aesthetics you are looking to improve, improved cornering or just bragging privileges with the wider tires?

If memory serves correctly, autoxers were squeezing 295 Hoosiers on the fronts in the stock class a few years back. I'd probably just go with 285's on all 4 corners for a street driven car. The square setup will make the car handle significantly better.

295/30/19 front is possible. Seen it as stated above.
Me personally 285/35 and 305/35 are the biggest I'd use

I'm running 265/305 on my Sport 19's and I've got a few minor performance mods.
You'll definitely notice the performance dip over stock size with the added weight if you're running stock.

I'm going back down to 255/35-295/30 on my next set and putting 20mm spacers back on just to push them out to flush.

I have 345's on the rear. Have no issues with them.

This doesn't give the car a "vague" or "floaty" feel in the corners from the sidewalls being bulged? I would think a stiffer sidewall would result in better handling? (honest question)

I get the square part of the equation, I was just thinking the less sidewall bulge the better, so properly sized wheels, or perhaps something narrower than the 285 would be better? Or is the trade off between the contact patch and sidewall stiffness worth it?
