As I mentioned they are stamped "Nissan" in the visible area.

You can find a set for around $800 if you search the web.
He's looking for the manufacturer because he's looking for the same wheel in a different size

I don't think those are the Z wheels, are they? Similar but slightly different. Probably the OP's friend's best bet if they need a different size, though. Something that looks close but with the right size options.

Because OP said he was looking at OEM wheel prices and they were $20000. I found same wheels for ~$800.

No they are not. An I agree with you, probably as close as he is going to get. They are 19's by the way. Did not look at the width and offset.

Default Okay then

Thanks for the replies. As I posted, I don't need the wheels for my car. Someone I know with a non-Nissan car was interested in them. I explained to her that we would have to find out who makes them, determine if they make one for the stud pattern, offset, and so forth for her car, and go from there. In order to do that, I'd need to know the wheel manufacturer. I guess from what I've read, either Nissan makes them or this information is unknown. I appreciate the help and did some looking (Enkei) and came up empty. Not in a hurry though. I enjoyed the discussion folks.

A more knowledgeable Nissan rep might be able to help guide you/her in the right direction. But most random dealer employees are going to be of no help.

Default But...

You all Do know what you're talking about. That's why I came here. I have learned more from this forum than I ever did from any dealer. Like I said, I didn't care for the "black" wheels" at first. Seemed too trendy for me but they grow on you. You are right, they do say Nissan. Do you all think I should consider a locking lug nut just in case someone else likes them too much?

I will never say wheel locks are a bad thing. They are too cheap and easy to put on not to have them. I have two sets on my Z. DE has three I think.

That being said, wheel locks only keep the half-a$$ thieves away. If a serious thief wants your wheels, wheel locks are NOT going to stop them.

Amen to that. I consider where I park my car at all times and that has helped. When I was still living in California, I put a set of 1969 Road Runner Wheels on my 66 Plymouth Sport Fury. I parked it across the street from the cottage apartment I was renting, was inside maybe 15 minutes, came out to go somewhere, and found the trim rings on the ground along with many of the lug nuts. A few minutes later and I would have been minus wheels and tires. I couldn't believe how fast these &^%$##$ thieves worked. This was in the middle of the day, busy street, and in a highly visible area. Can never be too careful.

Ballsy bastards

The stupid ones get caught. My parent's house was recently broken into. Literally three days later the thieves were spotted leaving a house they just robbed in another neighborhood, and the neighbor reported their license plate. Cops caught them around the corner robbing another house that very night

I keep my cars under lock and key now. I am putting Keystone Klassics on my 68 Barracuda and some other nice wheels on my other old cars. The Z stays in the garage. Hey, I was just down in Texas twice this year. My middle daughter graduated from A&M last May and my father, who lived in Mineral Wells, died this past Christmas. I plan on going back down in June to help mom move. Don't know where yet. Big state, crowded, but the people are very nice in Texas. And unlike the restaurants in California where you have to look under the lettuce to find your tiny portion of food, the restaurants I've visited in Texas bring so much food that no one goes away hungry. My youngest daughter is considering going to college down there as well. Do you see many Z's down there? Up here in Missouri they seem pretty rare.

Definitely a few Z's down here. But the Austin Z scene is pretty low key. Houston has way more activity.
