In for the RE-71R comparison.
I find it interesting that these worked well for you in the recent rains in Houston. My experience with RE-11s was once they were under about 5/32" tread wear, they hydroplaned like crazy in any amount of standing water; I was afraid to drive over 40 mph in them once water started collecting on the roads.
