So i know everyone is in love with Michelin Pilot SuperSport... but they're not the best for the track (i've heard).
My sizes are: F: 245/40/18 R: 275/35/18 In those sizes i was looking at Hankook Ventus R-S3 (Version 2) @ $940 shipped. HOWEVER, i have also recently found Nitto NT-01 available for the same freakin price shipped... $940. Is there any reason i shouldn't pull the trigger and pick these up?

There are reports of splicing issues with the Toyo/Nitto tires as late as last year (October 2014). Some say it is severe enough to get a replacement others just keep an eye on it and it goes away as the tread is used up. It is all documented over on the m3 forum. May be a non issue on our platform.
For the money I would stick with the RS-3's I'm currently running.

A buddy of mine has the RS3s and loves them. Popular choice, and if i could, i would go with the michelins Now that i think of it, if my tire isnt on the list, maybe im a cheap bastard... Vote submitted!

I use slicks now, but I have used NT01s and AD08s. The NT01s were a couple seconds slower at Road Atlanta. I didn't like them at all.

I use Michelin super sport, the old version on the fronts(which i think are better than the new version) and the new version of Michelin super sport in the rear.
Although i was thinking about TOYO's 888 all around.

Are you using the Z on the street too? If so, % on the street. How much you drive on the street will determine which tire I would get. Mostly street. The PSS's. My experience with them on the track. They are good up to about 75%. Once they get hot. They get greasily. That's after 20~25 minutes. If you want that other 25%. Get the track orientated tires.

The Z is my only vehicle. So it's street 100%!
I do, however, have track-only tires and wheels. So daily considerations are not an issue. ![]() Advanced Run group.

For another couple bucks i've also found Bridgestone RE-71R are also available in my desired size.
So 4x RE-71R shipped to my door for $980. or 4x RS-3 shipped for $940 I'm leaning towards Bridgestones.
