I shudder at the thought of them possibly having put me in the same position when I was considering the pink powder coating. My car would have been on jack stands and I would of had no transportation to and from work beyond the "quoted" time frame. Glad I bought different rims instead.

I would be screwed had the te37s been my only set. Hopefully they're on by the end of the week. I'm sick of this waiting game. In the meantime I lowered her on some eibachs.

Edit: Anyone know where I can get a billiard table with a dining table cover?

Tazicon 06-19-2013 12:15 AM

No have not seen one. Car is looking nice!

JENZ 06-19-2013 07:09 PM

I swear I've seen your car at the chevron over here....

Infamous 06-19-2013 07:48 PM

Thanks taz. Where is here?

Haboob 06-20-2013 08:42 AM

Didn't see a single Z in my stay over in Vegas. However, I did pass by LVMS - finally found out where that was! Looks like a nice facility.

Tazicon 06-20-2013 09:00 AM

LVMS is a good places for races. Its pretty nice. I see 350Z's out here but few 370Z's. They are around though.

Snail motorsports is so full of fail. Suddenly my wheels are really hard to do and will cost more to do. Because the polisher I took them to, the one snail uses and sent them to, didn't fully polish them like instructed to by snail. Somehow its my fault according to the receptionist. She says I chose the polisher and they have nothing to do with him. Why couldn't they tell me from the get go that they couldn't do it? Why did I have to constantly call and beg for an update? I just picked my wheels up which have been there with no work done for the past month, since polishing. Their communication sucks. They had nothing but excuses for everything I asked. I'm beyond pissed right now. According to the receptionist Juan was the one taking care of them. I called yesterday for an update and had to beg for one, which I did not get. Juan was not in as usual and she was supposed to get back to me by the end of the day. Didn't get called and had to call today at 1430. Juan picked up after about 9 rings and said to hold on. The bastard had the receptionist pick up the phone to answer my questions when he had all the answers. What great customer service. Man up instead of hiding behind your receptionist. Waste of time and money. Don't go to snail! This is going up in any Vegas car forum I can get in. All I got was blamed and did not get an apology. I didn't even get to speak to Juan about any of this.

SS_Firehawk 06-21-2013 08:00 PM

sorry to hear... I can relate, but At least GTM gets **** done

WOW! :icon14::eek::shakes head::mad:

Have you paid them anything? I would take this to small claims if you had and they won't refund you. Also BBB. Also every forum. When I meet up with the Mini people (whom the owners of Snail supposedly is part of- tho I haven't met them) I will bring this horror story up. That is what this is- a horror story.

:(

This view is only halfway up the monument. It is a total of 285 very steep steps up to the top.

Tazicon 06-24-2013 06:36 PM

Very cool photos! I love the model A and Niagra Falls! That has been on my bucket list for some time now.

Tazicon 06-24-2013 06:38 PM

And Infamous, I don't know what to say except I wish you had a different out come. I will help to pass the word about Snail as they shouldn't treat anyone that way.

Infamous 06-24-2013 08:30 PM

Thanks for the empathy guys. I didn't pay them a dime. This whole thing really sucks. Now I'm in talks with another shop, Garage works. I'm hoping to have a much better experience. Here's the kicker, Juan is the owner of snail motorsports.

CC QUIK 06-24-2013 11:52 PM

WOW!!! sorry to hear about this. Did my sport rays gloss black last year and came out great. Really surprised.

squib 06-26-2013 02:33 PM

Hey all. Not to steal this thread, but I am planning a trip to Vegas the 4th through the 7th and I was looking for suggestions on hotels, bars, activities, or anything special to do while there. I didnt have anyone to ask for these tips and was hoping the 370 forum could come through and help me out. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Haboob 06-26-2013 02:37 PM

So, I may be making a weekend trip up to Vegas before the NFL season to place some more sports bets.

If I do, are there any events going on that some of us could meet up for?

Are you planning on staying on the strip?

If so, staying at a place like New York New York (or other place in the middle of the strip) is ideal, that way you have easy access to the trams and monorail or you're walking distance from many of the other hotels.

Thanks. It was a great trip. That was his dad's very first car that he restored himself as a teenager.

JENZ 06-26-2013 10:16 PM

Being a local... I don't typically go out to clubs or the strip. And I've never stayed in a hotel at the strip so I really can't give you any recommendations. I live in my own bubble out in the southwest area of town.

Which is typical of Las Vegans.

Cars and coffee and there's a Wednesday night meet some folks go to. That's all that comes to mind. Lmk when you decide to come, so I can get that Saturday off for CC.

Haboob 06-27-2013 11:56 AM

Ah okay. Yeah, it'd def. be a Fri-Sunday trip probably (leaving Fri after work).

I will try to plan it out here soon.

Stay in the middle of the strip of at all possible. Easy access to either side. Text this promoter for clubs or dayclubs/pools. I found him on instagram and I think he should be able to take care of you.

I am local and my wife and I go to the strip often, we do staycations etc. I am older (48) so we don't do clubs (but sometimes bars) other than being fans of Steel Panther. I like Planet Hollywood, there is a lot to do right there. Easy walking distance to City Center, Belagio, New York New York etc etc but we have always been able to find decent prices. There are also some cheaper shows there that we go to every so often. Some times we do the Stratosphere and do a cheap show and dinner on top. We did the Rio and saw Penn and Teller for an over night stay. There is a ton to do at the strip. We go over at times just to walk the strip, that alone doing "people" watching is fun and we get exercise while at it! Lots of crazies. Anyway I could go on and on and then jump to Fremont Street but thats another post.

I go the C&C almost everyweekend.

Haboob 06-27-2013 03:44 PM

Fremont St. is a fun time too. I haven't been there at night though. I want to see the light show.

Infamous 06-28-2013 05:41 PM

Jenz and tazicon where did you get your tires mounted at? I don't want to spend 90 at the dealership. Looking for something cheap!

JENZ 06-28-2013 07:34 PM

My husband at Big O. :)

Infamous 06-28-2013 07:55 PM

Can the husband hook it up?? (:
Edit: not for free. I just would like someone experienced who won't eff my wheels up or charge too much.

When he gets home ill ask him how much it would be.

JENZ 06-28-2013 09:26 PM

He said its normally 16 a piece but he's going to talk to his manager tomorrow and see if he can give any kind of discount.Edit: if they are the ones that got powder coated- he said that his machines aren't set up for that at his store.

JENZ 06-28-2013 09:30 PM

Not sure where else you can find a non touch mounter aside of the dealership

Infamous 06-29-2013 01:26 AM

Thanks jenz. They're just polished right now. Powder coat will be happening at a later time. I think your husband would be okay to do them, yeah?

SS_Firehawk 06-29-2013 09:32 AM

For the guys looking for advice, this is what I gave the last guys a while back

Planet Hollywood has good rates as well. I have a friend that owns both Blondies and DB as well. Both fun places that draw a local crowd too.

Yeah. He was just worried about the fragility of a powder coat finish.

Infamous 06-29-2013 12:16 PM
