I have been out a few times, but I guess they are always eating as there is never anyone by the Z's. I normally don't park in the C&C area and just walk around. I am going to try to make it out this coming weekend just not sure which car I will be taking out.

JENZ 05-07-2013 08:08 PM

Every Wednesday night meet I've attended has been more like going out to dinner and there just happens to be people that also have z cars there, as opposed to a meet where everyone gathers by the cars etc.

Going out to dinner is not conducive to creating new friendships IMO. The one meet that worked well IMO was at Sonic because you are kind of forced to be around everyone instead of being spread out in a dining room. I liked that meet. The others, not so much.

We'll be there. Hopefully see you around. :)

Oh, and nice wheels, Infamous. More pics after install. :)

JENZ 05-08-2013 09:37 AM

Don't think I'll be out tonight but maybe next week of you're planning to go.

Thanks, Will do. Just dropped em off at snail. Can't wait to see the finished product!

Tazicon 05-11-2013 05:36 PM

I was out there today but I didn't get there till 10am. There wasn't one Z there and only 2 Porsches of which one was for sale. Still a fun time. I walked around the cars for a while, the Ford GT was amazing. Vettes and Challengers sure are the big deal at these things aren't they? Many of my dreams cars were there, I would Love a Bentley! Pure class. Anyway, I will try again next week and see if I can't make it earlier.

SS_Firehawk 05-11-2013 06:14 PM

I may be going home soon if I don't get this CCNP cert completed in 10 days :/

Mtxzptlk 05-12-2013 03:40 PM

Anyone here running a modded white 370 w "RIL3Y" on their plates?

Had it pass me on 15 S Russell bypass on saturday night. Car looks sweet!

JENZ 05-12-2013 04:19 PM

Nope not me.

Tazicon 05-20-2013 09:27 AM

A guy with a G was looking for a shop in Vegas to install his exhaust, splitter etc, you guys have any recomendations for that?

Infamous 05-20-2013 09:43 AM

I've gotten a few things done at get nutz from Forrest, blue diamond and rainbow. Cool guy and decent prices. The Z club guys will direct you to paladin on spring mountain.

SS_Firehawk 05-20-2013 12:03 PM

I took mine to Force Fed Racing. They had a dyno right there to strap in afterwards. I've heard good things about Paladin though.

JENZ 05-20-2013 12:41 PM

I've also heard good things about Paladin. No first hand experience though.

Infamous 05-22-2013 04:30 PM

What insurance company are you guys using to insure your z's? My premium went up $1,000 for another twelve months. Due to insurance reports for last year there were lots of claims on the z, causing rates to increasing across the board.

SS_Firehawk 05-22-2013 04:41 PM

USAA for me.

Infamous 05-22-2013 04:51 PM

How much are you paying and did you see an increase on your last renewal? I'm 28 with a clean driving record. I just want to see where everyone stands.

JENZ 05-22-2013 07:40 PM

I have two cars insured with geico. The z and the cooper s. we pay 212 per month after discounts.

SS_Firehawk 05-22-2013 07:53 PM

My 6 month premium is $918 with no accidents and 10k miles for usage. 89179 area code.
Comprehensive and collision is set at $500 for deductible
Accident forgiveness, Towing and labor, $25k uninsured bodily injury, $5k towards medical payments, $25k on bodily and property injury.

My Wife's Maxima is $718 for the same stuff and she has an accident on record... FML

Edit: My car is still under 10k miles after almost two years. Thinking I may need to adjust my usage...

Get your stuff back from snail yet?

Infamous 05-22-2013 11:45 PM

Thanks for the info folks. Not yet. They just dropped them off to the polisher. Polisher said a week for him to finish. So, I'm assuming two weeks till they're mounted.

Tazicon 05-24-2013 05:08 PM

I am getting mine ready to go in. I got delayed but I am set to drop them of on Tuesday. Decided to put some new rubber on while I am at it. I still haven't made it over for a quote on the body parts painting. Hopefully soon though.

Oh and cars and coffee tomorrow, I plan to be there again.

JENZ 05-24-2013 09:30 PM

Heading to LVMS tonight but in the mini not the z.

JENZ 05-24-2013 10:37 PM

Couple GTRs here. One red one from Texas with lots of vinyl stickers on the body.

JENZ 05-25-2013 01:34 AM

Husband's best tonight in the mini 15.4

Tazicon 05-28-2013 09:13 AM

Not bad for a mini!

I went to cars and coffee. There were 3 Z's there but I couldn't find anyone. There were some very nice classics out there on Stauday. I am not even sure what kind of cars those 2 were but they were bad a** old racers.

I have my rims and tires in the Jeep and taking them in this morning. I hope it doesn't take too long I don't like the car sitting on jack stands for extended periods.

Infamous 05-28-2013 11:09 AM

What wheels are you getting powdered and what color?

Tazicon 05-28-2013 01:26 PM

They are the stock wheels from my Cayman and I am getting them done in gloss black. My car is white so I am doing the wheels then I am going to get some acents done in gloss black as well. The vents, the rear spoiler, maybe the chin spoiler.

JENZ 05-28-2013 01:30 PM

We're heading back to LVMS Friday with the Z and the Mini this time. Anyone care to join us?

Tazicon 05-28-2013 01:46 PM

If I am in town I might go out to watch. The wife loves drag racing so this would make a fun night for us. Cheap date as well!

Infamous 05-28-2013 06:20 PM

Sounds like a nice little project, taz. Sounds like fun, but I'm working this weekend. /: so, I just picked up the wheels from snail's polish guy and he only polished the lips and faces. I'm kind of disappointed. He said I'm the first customer to request a full polish... Wtf. I would have ran them, if they were fully polished! I feel a little robbed.

Lol you'll be the first to know. I think I'll be less disappointed once they're powdered.

My wife and I could be down for that, Jenz. What time do you head out, and what side of town are you on? We're mountains edge. If you're anywhere nearby we could meet at a gas station or somewhere and cruise out there same time. I won't be running, but I'd enjoy watching :)

dbayb 05-29-2013 11:54 AM

(Infamous) can u tell me where u had the wheels polished? also does anyone know if u can polish the stock Z whheels? thanks

We head out from our side of town around 7:00pm because inspection starts at 8:00. They let spectators in at 8:30. We are off blue diamond Durango. We could meet at chevron but it might be a lot of waiting around for y'all.

I used FM polishing, snail sends their polishing stuff to them and sent mine to them. I wouldn't recommend them though, Manuel the owner has limited English and effed up my work order. He charged me $300/4 wheels just the faces and lips, then wanted an additional $200 to do the barrels. Wtf. He said it would have been less if I told me from the start to do the whole wheel.

Infamous 05-29-2013 07:36 PM

It's needed for the look I'm going for, 24k gold. (:
