I see the up rev fanbois are still at it!! Lol

Ecutek is still on track for the 370 race rom feature file release. In fact we have been testing several tables for them and us lately, so the timeline moves on.

Why does the brz get constant updates( which is actually a big misstatement )? Because there are far far more of them being tuned and far more New calibration Ids being defined. In fact the 370 sw is getting updates of the same type at the same rate.

It's this simple; if you like up rev use up rev , however if you want a platform that already has far more tables( and yes there are many that need to be tested still) and features, then EcuTek is the correct path for you.

Group buy is still on, and we are still porting out files to our current clients. There should be an updated file for everyone next week as we just finished going over the data from our VVEL testing

We have several tricks to help the torque down low, and the transient throttle response for the autos.

To be fair, I don't think it's the Ecutek tuners doing anything more than passing along the dates Ecutek expects to have features ready. They're not the ones writing the program. I wouldn't have made the "fanboys" comment if I were a vendor, though. It just looks petty.

I've been waiting for several features to be available for quite some time now, but since we've gone from "any day now" to "sometime this year", I've got to look elsewhere for my tuning solution. That's not to say I won't entertain Ecutek again when it meets my needs.

In the scheme of things, "fanboy" isn't that bad. Visconti would have called his mother a whore and set his car on fire.

I agree, I know it's not Dynotronic's fault they haven't been released.. but it seems everything is being 'fluffed up' to make Ecutek sound superior.. When there's no proof it is for one, and two, all these trick features that were supposed to be out MONTHS ago keep getting pushed back and it makes me doubt they'll EVER become available.

I've been waiting for all the features to become unlocked too.. and if eventually they do, I'll be impressed and I'll entertain the idea of an Ecutek tune but for now it just seems like another vendor trying to pump cash out of forum members.

Yee have little faith.............lol.

I understand some need actual proof before they pull the trigger. After all, it's a significant investment for most, me included. Besides the monitary part, their is the actual "back up what you say"......Show me the money so to speak.

I elected to choose EcuTek over Uprev as I was excited about the prospects of being involved on the ground floor on something new. I put my faith in EcuTek as well as Joe @ Dynotronics who has been wonderful through the process. I researched EcuTek prior to purchase and based on what they have accomplised with various platforms such as the GT-R, FRZ/BRZ, Mazda, I was extremely impressed. That was good enough for me.

Like someone said earlier, Joe is a Pro Tuner, not a software Engineer. This is handled by EcuTek.

I recently sent EcuTek an email asking them about their plans for the 370Z platform. I advised I was a little disappointed many of the advanced features have yet to be released for the 370Z. They advised the 370Z platform was pushed back, not because they are abondinig the platform, just due to focus elsewhere mainly the Mazda platform. They reassured me the 370Z will have advance features before the end of the year.

Again, I feel comfortable to have made the investment with EcuTek. I have complete faith EcuTek will deliver what they have promised.

At the end of the day, their reputation is on the line. This, I believe, will be their driving force and motivation.

I am also extremly happy with what has been done to my Z so far. The increased peformance is very noticable. I will attempt to post before and after charts on what has been done so far. I am traveling on business at the present time and will not get to this until the coming weekend. If I can figure it out, I will make it happen.

All I can tell you is this; we have at least three different ways to calibrate the 370, uprev, EcuTek, and AlienTech, in house. As a professional tuner I will not use uprev again, ever. It really is that simple. The support we get from the crew in England 5000 miles away far our strips the lack of support I get from uprev which is 40 miles away.

We are waiting ,just like you guys, for the release of RACEROM Feature File. I know a bit more about the release timeframe, but I will not say when except before the end of the year. But infact it really does not matter when it's released, because EVERY SINGLE CUSTOMER WILL GET AN UPDATE WITH THE FEATURES THEY WANT when it is released.

And yes, the fanboy comment was a bit childish, but it does get a little old, and his is my thread for a group buy. So forgive the snap, please
