I believe the ECON puts your car at a bit less throttle response. Not much less, but definitely helps ONLY when you're not heavy footed. Seb@SpecialtyZ mentioned that this helps

I believe the ECON puts your car at a bit less throttle response. Not much less, but definitely helps ONLY when you're not heavy footed. Seb@SpecialtyZ mentioned that this helps mostly highway driving under cruising speed.
I see it like the new Prius' with ECO, Normal, PWR. Either the car alters the base maps with each button or modifies the voltage for less response (ECO) to max response (PWR). My girl has one and I actually love this feature.
