Default Up-Rev Tuned: 2008 g37s 6mt

Alright guys, i know this is a 370z forum, but we share the same motor right?

I went to S&R Performance today to finally get my tune. The guys there were pretty cool and let me wander all over the place. I also think the tuner knew exactly what he was doing. We did like 4 runs total. The first one was 275whp, 308whp, 311whp, and then it went back to 302whp. I have 4 different maps, each having a different rev limit.

Map 1: full rev band (up to redline)
Map 2: max revs lowered to 3500
Map 3: 4000rpm
map 4: 4500rpm

Basically i'm posting here to share with you all my results, and to get some feedback.

Overall i'm pretty satisfied with the gains. Now i'm not positive that i made a (275 > 311) gain because the 275 run ended at 6k rpm.

My blackberry did all the pictures/videos, so uh.. the quality isn't that good. Anyone know how the "Dynomite" dyno compares to something like a dynojet?

Heres some pics
about to go on the dyno

too low, haha

strapped down

first run of 275, i didnt get a jpeg copy on my jump drive but i have a pic from my blackberry

the jpeg's that were copied to my jumpdrive of the runs:

302whp (final run)

311whp (best run)

A couple vids.

Cool, this is a good indication of what we might be able to expect once we get things squared away on our end. The thing that I'm noticing is that your car was running extremely lean before the tune. I think that says 14.xx at the top end on the first graph. Your tuner added fuel on the first run and brought it down to around 12. That took you all the way to 308whp, which is perplexing. Did he tell you he was going to play with timing right away? I would think he has done a LOT of G's before and knew whereabouts he wanted to end up. The last 2 pulls are smoothing out the tune and losing a little power from heatsoak.

Dynomites (I think these are also known as Land-and-Sea dyno's, dont ask me why) don't usually read super high, but not super low either. They are like dynojets if you had to compare it to a more common one. Although I have seen one or two low reading Dynomites before.

Either way, those are solid gains OP, congratulations! The car is safe and you're making nice power.

I could barely hear what the tuner was talking about, so im not sure. I should have specifically asked for a baseline dyno so i could compare.

They only put the "final run" of 302 and a "best run" of 311 on my jump drive. nothing that says baseline.

It says "Correction: Standard" on the bottom of the graph. i don't know if theres a difference between standard and SAE however.
