Default Where do i go to get it tuned??????

Need help! I'm planning on purchasing the 370z, but i'd like to boost the performance. I've never had this done to any of my vehicles before, so i'd like to find somewhere reputable, preferably in Florida. Here are the questions i have:

- Are there Nismo engine add ons that will boost performance?
- If not, what is recommended?
- Will the dealer do this type of work?
- Are turbos recommended? If so, is there such a kit for the 370?

And as far as the exterior, how do i go about obtaining one of these kits:
NISSAN Fairlady Z Custom Parts Aero Wheel Muffler yBRANEWz

Would the dealer install such a kit? I don't care for the Nismo exterior kit.

Any help appreciated!!

Yes, but they don't get you that much hp.

Lots of aftermarket choices popping up. Look around in the technical section of the forum.

Never

Depends on what you want and what your budget is. You said boost performance, but you dont say how much. There isn't much available yet, but soon stuff will be coming out.

imo, its a waste to get the stock motor tuned...not enough gains out of it. Its not like a stock turbo car where there are plenty of gains to be had. Leave it alone unless you wanna build the motor and boost it.

enjoy the car as it is a great machine. It would cost you about 5k to get another 40 horses, if im not mistaken.

Incorrect. We've seen gains on HR motor cars as high as 12hp on a totally stock setup. Other ones at less than 4hp. Tuning isn't about a raw number, every car is different and tuning allows you to gain a higher overall efficiency. The side effect of tuning is going to be power and fuel economy at the same time.

Edit:

Also no need to build these motors unless you're targeting over 600whp. GT Motorsports already has a kit on the market that is doing 550-600whp on a totally stock motor with 91 Octane California gas. These cars don't have a weak little VQ DE motor. The HR cars are doing 550 on the stock block, and the VHR is tested up to 600 with just a bolt on turbo kit.

Some dealerships will. Harbor Nissan in Port Charlotte FL will do about any aftermarket mod you'd like. They aren't right around the corner from you, but they are in FL.

We have 2 Pro Tuners so far that are dealership associated, and many of our Pro Tuners work directly with their local dealerships to make sure the modifications aren't hurting the cars. That doesn't mean that adding a turbo kit to your car doesn't void your drivetrain warranty, but they are doing it.

Hell just about any Nissan dealership as the Stillen and Nismo parts available right there in the Parts Department, they will install them at the dealership no problem.
