Install rear sway or keep stock?

Looking at the thickness of a bar means absolutely nothing. 1. Is it hollow or solid? 2. If hollow, what is the wall thickness? 3. How far from the pivot

Looking at the thickness of a bar means absolutely nothing.

1. Is it hollow or solid?
2. If hollow, what is the wall thickness?
3. How far from the pivot point are the ends?
4. How far from the pivot point do the endlinks hook up?
5. How thick is the bar (lastly!)

There are other small things, such as metal used, bushings, etc... But those are some very important parts. Geometry plays a far more important part than just thickness of a bar. For example, (and I don't know the answer to this) I know that everyone says that the Hotchkis bar is the thickest, but I believe is it also longer from the swaybar mount to the endlink mount. I have a Whiteline and am VERY happy thought it is "only" 27mm...but it has a much shorter arm length.

What you REALLY need is the motion ratio...IE how many lbs to flex the bar one inch. THAT tells you truly how stiff a bar is. We really need that information to truly assess which bar is the stiffest...
