It's certainly better than a "harness bar", so I guess if it's a street car and you just want a mild safety upgrade for drag strip stuff or something, maybe you could run a design like that? I donno. As mentioned already, it won't be rules-legal for any kind of auto sport, and it's not nearly as safe as a real cage.
