Bad ***...... probly a stupid question but why the flashing blue light in the top right of the winshield?

Class indicator. It is effectively a blue flag for cars ahead in their mirrors. Letting them know a faster car is coming up on them.

I did my first night event last month. It is not for the faint of heart. I did one session then decided to rethink my life a bit. And it was a low speed track. There would definitely need to be a pot of money at the end of the track for me to consider doing this in the rain.
