The rules for his class don't allow the addition or change to any fluid coolers whatsoever. Is it a BS rule? Absolutely.

Doing what you suggest would be cheating and I applaud the OP for not wanting to cheat. Also with the price of used Z34's falling it should be expected that there will be more showing up at national level events and therefore more people that can actually spot the difference between the stock cooler and others.

Meh, that's horseshit to me. If he can change the fluids to whatever he wants, cooling it should be OK too.
I'd take the mod to the grave if I had to.

I'll applaud the OP if he decides to cheat. He put an OEM part on, just a more expensive one, lol
