Yeah I still have it, at least for another year. Then it's time to start looking for something else.

2014 370Z Sport/Touring 7AT
Bone stock

With a better launch, I am confident 13.0 is achievable.

You need to pull the brake fuse and do a proper burnout for a good launch

If I had DRs or slicks, yes. You do not want to do a burn out with street tires. A quick chirp to get any debris or water of your tire is sufficient.

I can't agree with you. The cold tires would just free spin and lose traction thus killing your 60' time and quarter mile time.
I run at one of the worst prepped tracks located at Orlando, fl., I ran 12.9xx with 1.9xx 60' foot bone stock with a proper burnout on my michelins a/s 3 all season in 48 degrees. There is no way I can achieve that time with my cold hockey puck rubber in that cold weather on a crappy track. I would just free spin. My other runs without the burnout were at least .3 seconds slower.

official 1/4 mile track times

How did you do your burnout ???
7AT or 6MT ???

48 degree temps on summer street tires is definitely not a good combination ... I've never had all seasons on : but gaining .3 seconds is impressive if the only variable is the burnout.

I head OSW was actually a nice track now? That was my spot back in college when I had my turbo G35.

+1

A quick burnout with street tires (on a chilly night) definitely helps. I was a non-believer until a friend told me to just do it and I ended up pulling 1.8x 60ft times on stock tires & suspension. It also helps to have a sticky track.

I've pulled 1.8s on 225s without a burnout. Street tire compound tends to get greasy when heated up. We will have to agree to disagree.

Pulled the brake fuse and brake+gas, stop, then do a quick spin to clean the tires.

The A/S 3 made by Michelin has the characteristic of summer tires with great treadwear and awesome wet performance.

Google the tire, Michelin compared it against other major summer tire brands and it came on top.

What time did you run with the 1.8 60 feet without the burnout? Was it melting the track hot and humid?

Thanks ...
I'm needing fronts (soon) this time around.
I have the Michelin PSII's - will definitely check out the A/S 3's.
Sounds like you don't need a full burn out to heat 'em up.
