Way down here the tracks are open all year long. It gets to about 100* and 100% humidity in the summer and it feels like your breathing through a wet blanket in the oven.

You should just save up for a TT kit and call it a day.

98intrigue 03-12-2011 05:33 PM

^Awesome!!! I need to learn how to hook/launch/go and I'll be there eventually.

b1adesofcha0s 03-12-2011 05:42 PM

Thanks, I'm still learning too. It was my first time and I only did 4 runs. I think I could have improved a little bit though with some more practice. For the 7AT I found that launching at 1500 rpm with VDC off worked best.

Jason-Ray- Posting here cause I'm banned at 350z till 2025:)

It's also easier to reach you guys at same time, & I want to share great news with others(makes me feel good:) In Fla. found the reason why I got poor traction & missed 2nd. gear(same cure for both). Just came back from Atco Drags N.J. Using new (correct) front wheels & traction fixed = 12.570 108+ MPH - 12.616 - 12.575 - 12.621 + COUPLE MORE 12.6's. Nothing slower. 60' were 1.730-1.741-1.746-all in 1.70's except the 12.621 run I had a 1.698 60', but pass window was open, closing in mid run caused drifting left:(
Sorry for coming here-won't be a habit-just very happy......

b1adesofcha0s 03-12-2011 07:29 PM

Congrats on the times man.

KaienZ34 03-12-2011 07:41 PM

Hey nice meeting you today and congrats on breaking 12's your first try. I've been trying to get 12's ever since I had my car with no luck.

Read about your Cecil Dragstrip. It was 50/50-going to Cecil or Atco. Next time.

Its cool. Congrats on your rediculously fast times. Its probably going to be a while before I go back to the track now that its starting to warm up. I need me an HR or 370 you guys make me want to sell mine.

:ohsnap1:

I didn't even realize that was you man. You're really the only reason we went that far.

Thanks, I couldn't break 12's again though, kept getting a bit of spin at launch. The last time I got some wheel spin shifting from 1st to 2nd. Good luck with breaking 12's on your car, you're pretty close so far.

All of you guys that were there, do you guys live near each other? I live in Glen Burnie which isn't too far from Baltimore. Brian is heading out to capitol Raceway tomorrow. I'm gonna find out how it is there and we might go there if it turns out to be good.

I perfected my 6puck in my G35...that thing handled anything I threw at it.

I've been way too forgiving on this stock clutch. Next time, I won't be such a girly girl!:driving: If all else fails, I'll be seeing you shortly haha.

Yeah I was the one with the black Z. I live near catonsville and the g35 guy is near owings mills. Im not sure about the red vette. I'll probably go to capitol to watch. The track is usually prepped bad and people break alot out there. What time are you going up?

I'm not going there myself, but the guy that was with me with the silver 370Z is going. As long as its decent and not too crowded, it saves me 45 minutes of driving each way vs going to Cecil County. When I get all my mods and want a legit fastest time, I will probably head out to Cecil.

I went up to Capital today and ran my car 5 runs. Best I could get was a 13.2. It was empty but I was running into a 20mph headwind.

Congrats, that's good considering the wind. I guess we can do Capitol Raceway from now on.
