Better track car? 370z or 240SX

With your long track experience, could you tell me what amateur series/class actually allow 240sx with swaps in it that are under 10K or even 15K? I have never seen

With your long track experience, could you tell me what amateur series/class actually allow 240sx with swaps in it that are under 10K or even 15K? I have never seen or heard of one, heck I still haven't seen a competitive 240sx anywhere with the exception of a few here and there. With an amateur budget, how does a turbocharged engine survive a race session?

Also by the time you finish swapping engine/drivetrain/brakes/suspension, don't you want to rethink your strategy and perhaps think about using a new platform. I guess this is the same reason why people race Honda shoeboxes.

Cars are not classed at DE events. And the SR20DET does just fine with racing. Research Mike Kojima if you don't believe me. He is actually on this forum too. And by the time you swap all the stuff on a Z you will be in the hole even more.
