Thought I posted this in here:

2010 370Z base m6:

At the time of this run I just had Stillen Gen3's, Test Pipes and Invidia exhaust. Full weight (with my fat *** 230lb driving). Stock advans at 35psi and all that jazz. I think this was actually 1-2 years ago though.

60' - 2.106
330 - 5.791
1/8 - 8.761
MPH - 84.68
1000- 11.257
1/4 - 13.381
MPH - 107.00

Not special. I personally think I was driving really slow that day. Car was breaking loose on the 1-2 shift so I had to baby it a bit. This was back when the car made 280whp before getting tuned (Shifting at 7500rpms). Eventually I will get back out there. Who knows.

On street tires? You don't. Just make sure you avoid the water puddle for those that have Drag Radials in which case they DO drive through the puddle and they DO burnout. Burning out does nothing on street tires except waste tire.

Now if you ARE on drag radials pull the ABS fuse or else there is not really a way to burn out. And your going to have to find a fix for wheel hop because there seems to be alot of that on a stock Z. Maybe swap the Diff bushing for a stiffer or solid one.

I can do burn outs with my z and never pulled the abs fuse. I just hit the water puddle and drop the hammer and they light up lol I know it doesn't do anything for street tires but I had to try it once or twice to see. I will admit though my best 1/4 time (13.01) was after I did a but out before the run.

Hmm yea I was able to do a burnout and move forward but I was never able to do a standing burnout where I would drop the clutch and slam on the brakes and gas at the same time and burnout, the ABS always limited my throttle and toned it down after like a second. Maybe its different for 7AT

I don't use brakes on my. Just spin em then as it moves forward a bit I use a little throttle control to slow the spin and let it roll.

The one place I go to the burnout puts are actually uphill so u can smoke em lol

I still think wheel hop will get ya but if your trying it regardless yea i would usually put it at ~4k RPM and drop it or slip it at a pretty fast rate. Then floor it.

TerribleONE 02-12-2013 12:10 AM

2nd gear burnout will eliminate the wheel hop if you are 6MT... at least on my TT car
